im grounded for a while till i get money together for a batch of spares.I was bored so i decided to mod my DX6i.the only 2 things that annoyed me about the DX6i, was the lack of a backlight and that the annoying beep wasnt switch offable for using the switches indoors at night etc.so i fixed both these minor annoyances.you may notice from the video i havent installed a switch for the lights yet but ill get one from the shop and put it in soon.it will only take 2 minutes to finish and im in no rush as i cant fly right now.

Dec 4, 2008 - sorry i didnt bother as it was only a quick job.for the sound just cleanly break the circuit somewhere good and remake it with a switch.for the LCD backlight you want to get a backlighter plate and cut it to size, you could make one yourself but its quicker and easier to salvage one from an old mobile phone or similar and use the relevant resistor on the live.you can also tie in a sub micro potentiometer as a dimmer if you wantHTH

Dec 4, 2008 - Wish i was handy. I wouldnt know where to start to get parts. I need this mod as my 66yr old eyes are not so good in bad light. You should market this as a kit with instructions. Wonder if Spektrum would be interested in making you an offer.

Dec 4, 2008 - aye that was one of the things mate, thats a TM G3-SAS upgraded to the max, but now de-tuned power to keep with these stupid new laws. still got the bits to make it nasty again tho.5 rounds per second full auto & 400 feet per second, two 500 rnd mags, laser, adjustable red dot etc.rips cans to bits like tissue paper :Dif you know any buyers 4 it let me knowthey have to be UKARA registered tho or the piglice will try and stick a firearms charge on me.. which is a bit pathetic really.
