A trip through the garden on the TMRRR (Too Many Rules Rail Road - as named by my grandchildren). The Hartland 0-4-0(originally tooled and sold by Kalamazoo) did not have sound so I invested $49.95 in a 9v battery-powered RAM 53 sound chip that is mounted in the tender and triggered by a magnet glued to an axle passing by a Hall Effect sensor. A 3" speaker broadcasts through holes in the tender floor. The tender was converted to wood in the bunker to hide the 9v battery and make changing batteries less messy than dealing with the more era prototypical coal load.
