Jan 8, 2009 - Out of all the pieces in the original and Fantasia 2000, this is my favorite. All the dancers are simultaneously graceful and hilarious. How the dancers can be ponderously heavy and light on their feet at the same time is amazing. Plus all the little moments: the ostriches swallowing the fruit whole, the prima hippo flopping onto her fanny and being dragged to her bed, the goldfish in the bubble ... every bit of this is a delight.
