This guy may look huge and intimidating, but he's a total pushover. The game basically sets him up for you. He's weak against edged attacks and his head has low physical defense. Quite conveniently, your starting weapon, Fandango, is a physical edged weapon. Additionally, he's a Beast-type monster and you've very likely built up some Beast points on your weapon as you went through the Wine Cellar. The best strategy is to just charge at him as soon as the battle begins and start beating his noggin. You'll win quickly and probably won't even need to heal.In this fight, I PURPOSELY attacked the legs (his most defensive part) instead of the head in order to make this super easy fight be as drawn out and exciting as possible. Plus, I kept him alive long enough so you can see his Giga Rush attack (which is actually only slightly stronger than his regular attacks). BLARGH!!! How dare that bastard critical me on the first hit! Luckily, I was able to return the favor.Mmmm. Mr. Minotaur has a nice chest... ... ... Why did I just say that? x__XWeapon:Beef Blade (Fandango - Bronze Scimitar with Short Hilt)STR: 10Beast: 2Affn: Physical 7Type: Edged 4By the way, this is not a New Game+ playthrough, so no stat and item transfers from a cleared file.

Nov 22, 2008 - I never got a minotaur enemy to drop its mace, and this is my fifth playthrough. :(Even though, I never really tried to get its mace. I guess I would have to redo boss trial 1 a gazillion times if I really wanted it.
