Nov 22, 2008 - Hands down... Not even most guitars/ guitarists sound so good. May I ask how or what amp your useing to get the warm harmonics? I'm going to be trying this on a reg guitar. So, What I think it is is that thicker strings have more to offer to warmth. Your using humbucker type pick ups right? Thanks,-Alec Fleming
AlecH91UK Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - hey man, i'm actually just playing into my computer, then i did some EQ to it and added a little compression. it helps that the pick ups are active, i dont no if they are hum buckers, sorry, i no that sounds real stupid lol, but the piece sounds warmer than it would on a guitar simply because of the longer scale and the fact im using my fingers instead of a pick
WillWriteYourSongs Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Ah, the revurb trick. You got me, good job. You should always EQ. Even I do it. The latest recording I just did sounded really fat in the bass end for some odd reason. I think youtube boosted it. Ok, Most active pick ups are humbuckers. Do this to find out. Plug it in and jack up the volume all the way. Is it buzzing? How badly? Listen to guitars with single coils, Stratocaster, Telecaster, etc. Does it sound anything like that? Humbuckers still have a buzz its just not as bad.-Alec Fleming
