Chapter 20.. 'he..told me that.. i collapsed.. because..' MeLaniie tried to get the words out but couldn't.. 'because what?!' Nick was seriously worried now and MeLaniie could see it in his eyes and hear it in her voice.. 'because..' MeLaniie turned so that she wasn't facing Nick when she said this as she didn't want to see his reaction.. 'is everything okay?' Nick tried to look her in the eye but she wouldn't let him.. 'did i do something wrong?' 'no.. i just can't look you in the eye whilst i tell you this..' MeLaniie took in a deep breath.. 'Nick.. i collapsed because.. i'm pregnant..' MeLaniie slowly looked up at him after telling him.. 'you're pregnant? How far?' Nick asked cautious.. 'th..th..three weeks..' MeLaniie stammered.. 'it was the day i caught Tom cheating on me.. i told him we were through.. but he wouldn't accept it.. instead he.. he.. he raped me..' MeLaniiie let herself cry as she remember the pain she had gone through.. 'oh my god.. i am so sorry..' Nick hugged MeLaniie and comforted her as she cried into his shoulder.. 'at least.. at least i'm going to be okay..' she finally stopped crying and smiled at Nick.. 'do Lex, Dem, Bry or Aly know yet?!' he asked hesitantly.. 'no.. nor Kaci..are they all here?' she asked.. Nick nodded.. 'can you get them in.. i guess i have to tell them..' 'okay.. do you want me to come back?' he asked.. MeLaniie nodded and he walked out of the room and came back a few minutes later with the 5 girls.. 'hey, everything alright!?' Aly asked as the walked into the room.. 'i have something to tell you..' meLaniie held Nick's hand tightly and looked up at him before she prepared herself to continue.. 'what is it MeLaniie?' Bry asked hesitantly, not sure if she really wanted to know.. 'well.. i'm..' MeLaniie took in a deep breath and looked Nick in the eyes before she continued.. 'okay.. i'm just going to say this.. i'm pregnant..' 'you're pregnant?!' Demi asked shocked as she walked closer to MeLaniie.. 'my little MeLii pregnant?!' Alexa asked hesitantly.. MeLaniie just nodded.. 'is this good news or bad?!' 'i don't know really.. a bit of both i guess.. but i do know that i'm keeping it..' she said without a single pause as she knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to say it.. 'you do?' Bry asked almost hesitantly.. 'yeah.. i do..' 'well, we'll all be here to help whenever you need us right guys..' Kaci said as she finally came to terms of what MeLaniie had just told them.. A few days later, MeLaniie has left the hospital.. again.. and everyone is at the Jonas house in the pool.. MeLaniie's phone started to ring.. 'hello?' she answered cautiously after getting out of the pool. 'who is this please?!' 'it's me..' the voice at the other end of the phone said calmly and quietly.. 't..t..tom?' she said, her voice crackling a scared.. Nick heard and immediately jumped out of the pool and came to her.. worried.. 'yeah..i need to talk to you..' he was still calmly and quietly speaking.. 'please.. meet me at the mall around midday..' 'i can't..' MeLaniie was scared but more hurt.. 'please.. i wont hurt you, i promise, i just need to talk..' 'how do i know that? You cheated on me.. raped me.. and nearly killed me twice! How am i supposed to believe you?!' MeLaniie let a tear fall down her check as she spoke.. she saw Nick was getting worried as he was sitting beside her.. 'please.. i promise i wont hurt you..' she could nearly hear him crying through his voice.. 'fine.. BUT! I'm not coming alone.. i'll only come if Nick comes with me.. you have to promise not to hurt him either.. ' Nick nodded. 'okay.. i just need to talk to you.. and i promise i wont hurt either of you!' Tom said calmly.. 'okay.. i'll..i'll see you there then..' MeLaniie hung up the phone, slightly scared and hurt, but to her surprise she believed him.. 'you're going to meet him?' Nick asked worried.. 'yeah, but only if you come with me.. he needs to know' she put her hand on her stomache.. 'i know you probably don't want me to go.. but i have to tell him.. it's his child..' 'okay..' Nick took in a breath.. 'we'll go..when and where?' 'Mall, Midday..' MeLaniie looked at her watch.. 'are you sure you're okay with going?' 'i guess.. but if he tries anything we are out of there straight away.. we can't risk anything' he tried to smile but was to worried.. 'okay..' 'promise?' 'i promise' MeLaniiie smiled and kissed him.. Midday.. Nick and MeLaniie went to the mall and sat at the food court waiting for Tom.. as promised he was there to talk not to hurt..
