Change is a defiantly coming. George Bush will no longer be OUR President anymore, so therefore, there will be change. The question is whether you want "change that you can BELIEVE in", or "change that you can TRUST".The choice is ours, but no matter who is elected, I hope that everyone will give them the respect that they deserve, because after all, they will have been elected by the majority of the voters of this country and that will have been our choice. If you end up not liking the choice that was made, then you will need to be more active and fight harder for the candidate of your choice four years from now, but until then, please be a good loser.McCain promises 'change is coming'AP, ST. PAUL, MinnesotaSaturday, Sep 06, 2008, Page 1John McCain accepted the Republican presidential nomination, vowing that "change is coming" to Washington and that he — not Democratic rival Barack Obama — would be the one to deliver it.Four decades after he was a prisoner of war in Vietnam and eight years after he lost a bitter primary fight to US President George W. Bush, McCain closed out the Republican National Convention basking in cheers from thousands of party leaders, many of whom have not always been enamored of his independent ways. For most of his speech, McCain's understated delivery contrasted with the forceful address a day earlier by his running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. She electrified the party faithful with a sarcasm-laced attack on Obama and by lashing out at Washington insiders who consider her too inexperienced to be vice president. But he won cheers as he closed out his remarks with a personal touch, recalling how his five years in captivity ended his cocky, self-absorbed ways and taught him that "no man can always stand alone.""I fell in love with my country when I was a prisoner in someone else's," he said.He called on Americans to join him in defending the country's ideals."Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight," he said. "Nothing is inevitable here. We're Americans and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history."Obama zeros in on Palin's early earmark acceptanceShe questions Biden as 'agent of change'By James Oliphant and Jill Zuckman | Chicago Tribune correspondents 9:37 PM CDT, September 6, 2008TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Barack Obama turned up the heat on John McCain and Sarah Palin at a rally here Saturday, accusing McCain of hijacking his campaign theme and being surrounded by lobbyists, and charging that Palin, as governor of Alaska, accepted federal pork "when it's convenient."In Colorado Springs, McCain and Palin launched a Western swing aimed at pumping up evangelical voters and veterans. Taking the podium, Palin went after Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, for being too comfortable with the ways of Washington. At an event held in a show barn on Terre Haute's Wabash Valley Fairgrounds, Obama employed the strongest language he's used since McCain and Palin formally accepted the GOP nomination for president and vice-president. He also accused them of hijacking his message of change. Then Obama opened a line of attack he hasn't used recently on the trail."He says, 'I'm going to tell those lobbyists that their days of running Washington are over.' Who's he going to tell?" Obama said. "Is he going to tell his campaign chairman, who's one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell his campaign manager, who was one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell all the folks running his campaign, who are the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington?"In Palin's case, Saturday marked the first time Obama has gone after her record directly. He cast her as a reformer only after she had embraced earmarks earlier in her political career."She's a skillful politician," Obama said of Palin, "but when you've been taking all these earmarks when it's convenient, and then suddenly, you're the champion anti-earmark person, that's not change. Come on. Words mean something. You can't just make stuff up."

Nov 22, 2008 - So if McCain would've won then what the hell do you think he would do better. He would keep us in that damn war for god knows how long. He wouldn't do anything about the economy. Barack Obama wants to stop that pointless war and give higher taxes to people who make more than 250,000 dollars per year. If the higher taxes woukd effect you so much than that means that your family in making 250,000 dollars or more and if that than it seems that you have enough money to afford them.
DuchessAliana Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Yes, but here's the thing about the war. It's a lose-lose situation now. We stay, our people die. We pull out on a timeline, Iraq WILL become another Rwanda, and the U.S. will be blamed, and I can only see us being pressured to go back and "fix" things again. The first people the extremists will bomb when we leave are the SICK in hospitals and CHILDREN in schools. And then the fingers will immediately fly to us.
DuchessAliana Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - No, I agree with you. This is how I see how things will play out. World wide economic depression, which will remain unfixed until the "new axis powers" (namely, Hugo Chavez and his friends--Russia, Iran, N. Korea, China, etc.) find the perfect opportunity to begin World War III. If people are this ignorant to recognize that is where we are heading, then massive war is inevitable, not to mention the re-creation of the Rwandan crisis in Iraq when we pull out on Biden's timeline.
FrostWolf15 Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - I see what your trying to say, but I believe that the best option is to pull out of the war because it will lower our economy and if that happens we lose power and become defense-less against enemy countries and our people will suffer. I say we fix our economy first and then handle iraq. After that we should try to befriend more powerful countries so that if axis power team-up we will have allies on our side to help us. etheir way war is inevitable. But I just think that is the best option.

Nov 22, 2008 - aleatorkinoprtion-you really dont know what you just said do you. LBJ said he was going to be the one who would start "The Great Society". And do you know HOW? By starting welfare, food stamps, Medicare, and affirmative action. Programs that make it eASIER to NOT work. And look what it has spawned: A "great society" where people are on welfare generation after generation, have more kids they cant afford. Obama's mantra was change right. he has appointed all clinton admin people-yeah REAL change
emjee Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - LETHALPAYNEINTHEASS:How the FUCK would you know he isnt "Interested in lining his own pockets"? Just because HE TELLS YOU SO? MAN WHATTA a fucking gullible IDIOT. I suppose you bought thatn bullshit about CHANGE too?Well, he sure has made BIG changes by appointing the same old clinton people. ALL LEFT LIBERALS.HASNT appointed A SINGLE REPUBLICAN. NOT A SINGLE ONE.Yeah, thats what I call REAL CHANGE,HANDS ACCROSS THE AISLE and all that bullshit. AND you probably thing pro wrestling is real too.
emjee Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Are you living in a CAVE DUCHESS? I guess you havent pulled your head out of the sand and heard this-THE SURGE IS WORKING. Sorry to be the one to have to tell you since you want us to lose so bad. Was it "Lose-Lose" for the WOMEN of Iraq? The women who dont have to walk around covered head to fucking toe for fear of getting BEATEN?? Or the ones that want to go to SCHOOL? I assume you ARE a WOMAN, so why dont you want to lift a finger to help these people obtain the same freedom you already HAVE?
DuchessAliana Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Umm...I think you misunderstood me. I don't WANT the U.S. to pull out now b/c of the very beneficial changes that have happened in Iraq which you speak of. I don't WANT women to go back to being beaten, or schools being blown up. If the U.S. pulls out, all of those people are going to die, and we get another Rwanda...but if the troops stay, people still die. That's all I was saying: people die either way, but ultimately it's better if they stay or else we'll have mass genocide on our hands.
emjee Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Duchess-ooops. Sorry. I defintely DID misunderstand you about the war. It is too bad more people dont understand what would happen if we pulled out, especially now. Obama ran on the platform of pulling out and ending the war, then he woke up and realized if he kept that postion he would probably lose. what gets me is how people have fallen for this guy hook line and sinkerRepublicans at least admit McCain wasnt the best guy for the job, but obama-ites think he can do no wrong-thats dangerous
lethalpayne1 Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - hasnt appointed a single repulican... GOOD!! who need a fucking republican for christ sakes.. fucking antichrists
