This is a requested video of my fully restored Kirby Classic Omega in action. It now has a "new" old-stock metal fan, cleaned original bag, refurbished original 2-row brushroll, period-correct smooth drivebelt with matching Kirby-logo, and a good polish. I have left the gouges in the power nozzle because it gives the machine "battle scars" that show it's been used, but loved.I have great sentimental attachment to this machine, and I will keep it forever! This video features it sucking up a mess of ground-in baking soda and wood chips. I didn't want to use kitty litter in this video since I'm low on it, and I didn't want it pitting the new fan.

Nov 23, 2008 - That Kirby Classic Omega still has a good sound to it, but could you install a plastic fan on the motor, I think the plastic fan might not break so easily on it.

Nov 23, 2008 - No. Flat out. The plastic fan has it's own drawbacks such as weak hose suction and a lousy sound. The metal fan will remain on this machine, and I have an extra for if it ever breaks again. The only reason the original broke was due to corrosion from the previous owner vacuuming up water.
