Dec 4, 2008 - hi ron, i would love to thank you for all the great comments, and for drawing my attention to the fact that i totaly forgot to finish this one off. i heard this album when it first came out,and to this day i still count it as the best tribute album to elvis, coming as it did from ral, himself a true elvis fan.

Dec 4, 2008 - i will always remember reading about ral meeting elvis in his bel air mansion, elvis walking towards ral with his head down, and as he got close to ral lifting his head and start to sing rals song, to love someone, ral said that apart from his son being born, this was the proudest moment of his life.

Dec 4, 2008 - i want to thank everyone who waited for me to finish this series off, and appologize for taking so long.

Dec 4, 2008 - I don't know anything about Ral, but i must say he was the best ETA I've ever heard. Thanks Ron, for sending this to me.You know by now what I would enjoy when it comes to ETAs.
dougalmca Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - thanks 2egypt, i liked ral because he was a true elvis fan, he did not want to sing elvis songs because, as ral said, elvis can sing a song after anyone, but no one can sing a song after elvis. ral released many great songs of his own, and in 77, released a great tribute record, most of the proceeds going to , the eternal flame , for elvis, it was called , the day the beat stopped.

Dec 4, 2008 - its great to know that ral is still remembered by the people out there, and i hope that a few of the younger ones listen and appreciate ral. so thanks for the great comment, and for anyone reading this, check out , dmljm singing, you will love it.

Dec 4, 2008 - Ral Donner was a great perfomer who had a great voice. I think he had the number five on the charts in 1961 with " You Don't Know What You Got" I wish he would had live for I could have met him. I don't think Elvis met him but he Elvis did know of him. One of the best Elvis tribute voices that ever were. Ral Donner, Ronnie McDowell, Tony Roi, Doug Church, Shawn Klush, and Jimmy Ellis.

Dec 4, 2008 - My top picks. Have you ever seen so many people paying tribute to one performer? ELVIS PRESLEY..Thanks for these series of Ral Donner. He was the man..

Dec 4, 2008 - yes, unfortunately ral died in 1984. cancer. he was ill with this disease when he did the elvis voice over for the movie , this is elvis ,his singing career was held back for a few years because he refused to let his record company rob him.

Dec 4, 2008 - Such a sad story of a wonderful man. Funny how the bestETA's go so early. Jimmy Ellis was another one with a great voice almost like Elvis. I'm sorry I didn't learn about ral wayback then, but I'm grateful for the info you've given me.
