Dec 2, 2008 - It's always dangerous for Police cars to bypass red traffic signals, even with light and sirens.Some traffic lights in the world support giving way to the emergency vehicle from detecting the siren, giving red lights to the other intersecting traffic until the emergency vehicle passes.I don't know if we have that feature here though.

Dec 2, 2008 - red lights here are triggered by weighing grids in the road. australia government is too cheap to care about world class road systems.. . too much short sightedness and cheap jobs being done. In my street the road in the last 3 years has had potholes filled in 5 times. In stead of putting bitumen over a new stretch and saving them selves coming back next 6mths... they'd rather just fill in one pot hole.. cheap.
