National Lacrosse League star Brodie Merrill discusses his training exercises. ?The training that is predominantly prior to this season, we have a window about three to four months where you kinda get ready for the season and consists of training three to five times a week and that ? you always continue to have the stick your stick in your hand and to build ? try to develop your skills but I think for a cross specifically, you wanna make sure that you?re doing a lot of expulsive training, a lot of sports specific training. A lot of it, playing matrix and speed and agility works, some weight lifting, some power lifting, it?s not ? you wanna do training like you?re a player, right? So, if you?re in the gym doing slow movements or this kinda beach work out, it?s not gonna really translate well over the sport, right? So, you wanna make sure that you?re doing everything that is very expulsive and again exercise is a movement so they?re gonna help you in your sport. So, that?s one thing I think I definitely learned is that it?s catering ? kinda have the mentality, everything you do, how?s it gonna help me in my sport now. Does it gonna help me get better or in the cross. So, from season ? we were in the season you kinda try more to maintain but you tried ? I tried to do something everyday. Whether trying to do the quick run or kinda wanna set yourself up so, you?re picking for ? at the right time, right? So, in typical game time weight, some are more intense work out earlier and it kinda get lightens up as it get a little closer to the game but I try to do something, trying to be active everyday and it gets a little intense as it gets closer to the game time. The foot work is always on the ivory I have to work on and concentrate on and put it ? they?re tough, right? It?s tough drills and that?s one thing a little foot work drills I usually ? a little bit tougher on me but I recognize the importance of it and something that I continue to work on it.?
